I specialize in helping individuals and families transform their relationship with food and body all without restriction, guilt, or shame. I practice from a weight-neutral perspective meaning that we focus on health-promoting behaviors rather than the scale when it comes to goal setting and to get to the true heart of the matter.

As you can see from my picture, I'm no spring chicken. I've been around the block a time or two. My mix of formal education/training, professional experience, personal lived experience, and athletic endeavors over the years has uniquely equipped me to help men from all different backgrounds to make peace with food/body, improve overall health and wellbeing, and even increase athletic performance if that's your thing.

Pre-recorded Video Course Content

Each week you'll watch a short-ish (15-20 min) video covering the main topic. This will set the foundation for discussion and addition content for the week.

Supplemental Mini-Courses

For those with specific needs or interests, supplemental "mini-courses" are provided. Some examples are performance nutrition, getting started with weight training, moving away from calorie/point counting, etc.

Weekly Live Zoom Group Coaching Calls

Each week you'll have the opportunity to participate in a live group coaching call to ask questions and share how things are going. These will be recorded for those who can't make the live session.

Private Virtual Community

For additional support, you are encouraged to participate in the private virtual community, only for those in the Equipped to Thrive program and those who have completed the program.

Private Email Support

If something comes up during the program that you're not comfortable asking or sharing in the group, I'm happy to provide support, thoughts, and feedback via email.

Additional 1-2-1 Coaching Sessions

For an additional fee, 1-2-1 private virtual Zoom coaching sessions are available with me if you need some additional support beyond the scope of the group environment.

What is Intuitive Eating?

We were all born with the innate ability to eat intuitively, listening and responding to those internal cues that help us regulate our food intake in a way that's right for our unique genetics and level of physical activity. Unfortunately, a variety of factors have caused a disruption in so many of us and left us struggling.

Intuitive Eating is an evidence-based eating framework that integrates instinct, emotion, and rational thought. It's not another diet but instead consists of 10 principles that build on one another to help adults, teens, and kids to rediscover and redevelop a positive relationship with food and body.

Equipped to Thrive is designed to help you understand and begin to practice the principles of Intuitive Eating to help you reconnect with this innate ability.

Not at all! It’s a non-diet, weight-neutral approach to health and wellbeing. There are no rules to follow, but rather, principles to implement in the context of YOUR unique lifestyle, culture, health status, socioeconomic status, mental health, and genetic blueprint.

The short answer is … I have no idea. You might. You might not. There’s no way to know. We’ll address this question in much more detail during the first session.

Intuitive Eating is not a weight loss program. It’s not a diet. The principles are not designed to help you get into a calorie deficit.

Intuitive Eating is a weight-neutral approach to nutrition, health, and fitness. It helps us to unlearn and undo what diet-culture, and even our family and friends, have instilled in us for the bulk of our lives: that our bodies are not ok and that we need to change them to fit society’s ideas of what makes an appropriate body.

The program consists of pre-recorded video lessons, weekly live group Zoom coaching calls (recorded if you miss), and a private Facebook group to interact with other group members and myself between coaching sessions.

The pre-recorded lessons are delivered via an amazing e-learning platform that allows you to view the content on a computer, phone, or tablet. Each lesson provides the video content and links to optional supplemental resources. The system also remembers your progress so you can quickly return to right where you left off each time.

Absolutely! I work with people from all over the world. The only issue will be time zone differences for the group coaching calls. However, depending on the needs of those in the program, I’m happy to provide 2 group coaching sessions each week, one more convenient for those in the US and Canada, and another at a time more convenient for those in the UK and Europe. Hopefully, any Australians can find one of those times doable.

That said, the group coaching calls will be recorded so nobody will ever miss the content discussed.

No problem! You won’t miss out on any content because each session will be recorded and made immediately available to program members.

The only thing you’ll miss out on is the live interactions and Q&A.

Absolutely! You’ll have lifetime access to the course content, mini-courses at the time of your program cohort, and access to any future mini-courses or additional program content created in the future.

I can say with almost certainty that you will! This program is so much more than just learning about Intuitive Eating. It’s a group coaching experience to help members implement and the various principles as well as troubleshoot specific areas and issue that arise during the process.

In addition, I can’t tell you how much I’ve learned by listening to and sitting under the teaching of a variety of sources on this (and any topic). Each professional and group member brings a different perspective to the conversation.

I can’t guarantee any particular outcomes. I can tell you that each lesson is meticulously created with the highest content and production quality. During each group coaching session, you will have a compassionate, caring, intelligent, evidence-based, coach who will listen and do everything I can to help you work through any challenges or struggles along the way.

If for some reason you are not satisfied with program, I don’t want to keep your money. However, the one thing I do ask is that you give it a shot for 4 weeks. Sounds fair, right?
