In this video, I share a model and framework developed by Ellyn Satter (https://ellynsatterinstitute.org) called Satter’s Division of Responsibility in feeding (sDOR). This evidence-based model is an excellent way to help your children develop a healthy and positive relationship with food and body. While it differs in some ways from Intuitive Eating, it’s quite compatible and in most cases, better suited for younger children. It incorporates a bit more structure than Intuitive Eating and so it’s a great way to help kids eat in a way that will help them grow into the body that is right for them as unique individuals.
