I’m a nutritionist, personal trainer, and Intuitive Eating coach. My goal is to help individuals and families transform their relationship with food and body all without restriction, guilt, or shame.
While I work with men, women, older children, and teens, I have a particular interest in helping men learn about the benefits of taking a weight-neutral, non-diet approach when it comes to feeding themselves and their families. This approach carries over into my work as a personal trainer as well.
What is a weight-neutral, non-diet approach?
I’m glad you asked!
A weight-neutral approach to health does not focus on changing the size and shape of your body as a primary outcome. That may sound strange considering the constant messages we hear and see on a daily basis in the media, on our social media feeds, from celebrities, the government, and even the medical establishment. All of these voices tell us that if our body exceeds a certain size range, we should immediately make every attempt at changing it.
Health is reduced to a number on the scale for so many people
This is unfortunate, however, there is another way.
I’m a huge proponent of Intuitive Eating which is an evidence-based self-care eating framework that integrates instinct, emotion, and rational thought.
This framework consists of 10 principles that help you reconnect with your body’s internal ability to regulate your food intake in a way that is right for you as a unique individual. These principles include changing your mindset regarding food and nutrition, learning to recognize and honor your hunger, fullness, and satisfaction cues, making peace with food, reimagining physical activity, and much more.
In short, a weight-neutral, non-diet approach to improving your health, fitness, and even performance focuses on addressing underlying issues and disruptions that may be at the heart of where you are struggling. Rather than trying yet one more diet, doesn’t it make sense to instead get to the heart of the matter?

I love podcasts as a communication medium! So, what’s the Men’s Intuition podcast all about?
Well, we’ve all heard of “women’s intuition.” However, men have intuition as well! Intuition can and should play a powerful role in helping men (everyone for that matter) when it comes to feeding ourselves and our families while navigating our challenging food environment. On my podcast, I explore a variety of topics related to a powerful, evidence-based eating framework called Intuitive Eating that integrates instinct, emotion, and rational thought. My hope is it will help you finally break free of the perpetual diet cycle! Some episodes are solo where I share some thoughts on a particular topic and some involve an interview with an expert in a particular area such as physicians, dietitians, coaches, athletes, and more!
